Welcome to DAILY SHADE, A TRUE MINERAL SUNSCREEN Company. We are saving lives one bottle of Daily Shade at a time. Our mission is to decrease skin cancer in the rising generation.
My name is Breelyn Vanleeuwen (call me Bree or @mrs_sunscreen) it's more than wonderful to have you here! I am the founder and CEO of Daily Shade Sunscreen. I am also a Mom of four, and a Physician Associate (PA) with a passion for enjoying the sun safely.
I LOVE the sunshine! Because of my background I have learned the safest ways to be a sun chaser and I want to share that with all of you! I'm a concerned mom with the medical background to make a difference.
This company was started after my daughter had a terrible reaction to a mainstream sunscreen "made for babies". Once I learned that 96% of sunscreen on the market today, even the ones that say "100% Mineral" can contain UV chemical boosters and filters my world was rocked. I exclusively started using what I now call TRUE MINERAL SUNSCREENS (a term that didn't exist until now) that only contained non-nano zinc and no uv chemical filters. BUT there was a HUGE problem...every single one made them look like little greasy white ghosts running around (I know you all know exactly what i'm talking about). AND I was shocked to find so many dangerous and unwanted ingredients in children's sunscreen.
When I couldn't find anything close to what I needed, I decided to create one! And that's just what we did. It took us 4 years because every formula we own is original and created from scratch. My amazing team and I have found a way to make zinc cool again while keeping it natural and safe for our families.
